Pillar of Shame in Hongkong by Jens Galschiøt

Statement from the Danish Minister of Foreign affairs Jeppe Kofoed about the pillar of shame in hong kong

"For long I have expressed my serious concern about developments in Hong Kong. And we on the Danish side have raised the matter in Beijing. The freedom to express opinions peacefully - through speech, art or other means - is a fundamental right of all human beings. This goes for Hong Kong too. For good reasons, the Danish government cannot decide which art other countries' universities choose to exhibit. But it is very important to me to be vigilant about freedom of expression and the artistic in all parts of the world.”
