Crowdfunding sale of the solar panel sculptures at a reduced price ended on December 22, 2020.
By then, we had collected enough funds for the project.
Thank you for the assistance to all who have supported us; without you, we would not have managed to get all the solar panels up :-)
From now on, all activities taking place or originating from the gallery will be carbon neutral.
Solfangere af Jens Galschiøt
We have an ambitious plan to install approximately 2,000 m2 of solar cells on the roofs of Galleri Galschiøt. With this installation, we aim to produce 300,000 Kilo Watt (kW) per year, which could potentially save the world around 120 tons of CO2.
However, establishing such a large solar cell plant comes with a cost of at least DKK 1.5 million, which we cannot afford. To overcome this financial barrier, Galschiot is embarking on creating a whole new series of unique "Solar collector" sculptures in copper. These sculptures will be sold as part of a Crowdfunding project to raise funds for the solar cells, and they will be available in various price ranges.
The sale is limited to a crowdfunding period, which will end as soon as we have collected enough funds. Any unsold sculptures will then be sold at their normal price. Sales will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We invite you to visit our gallery and witness the beauty of these solar sculptures firsthand. The gallery is open every weekday from 9-17 and on Sundays from 12-16.

The solar collector sculptures share a captivating theme with a magical scepter, featuring a mountain crystal rock that harnesses the power of the sun and converts it into energy.
The scepter is held by various watchmen or mounted on pedestals, each sculpture being unique and diverse in size. As a result, the prices also vary widely, but one thing you can be certain of is that they are significantly reduced from the normal prices (see the normal price in parentheses)

The Witch symbolizes female energy, magic, damnation, and speed, all of which are integrated into this sculpture series.
Its presence emerged unexpectedly while I was modeling a completely different set of sculptures, initially focused on depicting horses in motion.
With the witch,I allowed the concept of speed to "dissolve" within the sculpture's form.

The Alchemist is the experimental soul who, with technical ingenuity and finesse, develops our abilities to harness solar energy for the benefit of all. The Alchemist embodies a mix of craziness and brilliance, forming the foundation of the enlightenment era and the technological world we know today. The Alchemist has contributed to great prosperity, but at the same time, has also depleted the Earth's resources and contributed to climate change.

The Solar Plexus is the energy field surrounding the magical sun (stone) that serves as the center of all energy in the universe. It is also known as the third human chakra, referred to as the "Navel Jewel," associated with emotions. The harmony of the Solar Plexus relies on good grounding.
