An art happening by Jens Galschiøt that focuses on the human rights violations in QATAR in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup

The artwork draws inspiration from ancient Tibetan traditions that utilized human craniums in jewelry and bracelets. Additionally, it is influenced by Heavy-metal culture's peculiar expression and African talismans with magical powers.

The result is a piece of jewelry with an almost overwhelming magical aura. Its powerful expression makes it impossible to ignore and guarantees remarkable attention in any gathering. The wearer of this chain will be a queen.

The work is composed of 6,500 small white craniums, each measuring 6x5mm, which are incorporated into this enormous jewelry chain. Each cranium represents an individual out of the 6,500 people who lost their lives due to the construction of stadiums and infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The chain, consisting of thousands of small craniums, is connected by four larger bronze craniums. These unique craniums are handcrafted in wax and transformed into bronze using a 7,000-year-old technique called "cire perdue."

The four unique craniums, with their occult appearance, frame the chain and contribute to its magical and beautiful expression.

This chain is a unique piece intended to be worn during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with the purpose of emphasizing the incredible human cost associated with hosting the event in a country that does not treat human life with basic universal fairness. The rights of workers and legal equality have been neglected, resulting in the loss of 6,500 immigrant lives while constructing the infrastructure for the event.

The hope is that the bearer of this chain will use it to stress this point.
